But ironically, I actually did want to learn the accent. But after trying I just gave up. Couldn't continue. I'd hear it in translations, movies and thought "boy, if I could just sound like that"...I try but not sure it's even that perfect.
I'm from Spain... but in my case, I never wanted to sound British at all, and it works great for me, they listen to me... just like the moment you got that "break out".
Also, if any, I double down on my Spanish accent lol, but without making it less comprehensible ;)
